ABOUT MAGGIE

 

 

 

Although born and raised in Tennessee, Maggie is excited to call Charlotte her home. She is a former local content producer for WBTV's digital lifestyle brand Queen City Weekend. She graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in December 2014.

Maggie knew she wanted to pursue a career in journalism when she was 11 years old, a passion that only grew stronger when she began her studies at UT in 2011.

This love of storytelling is what drew her across the Atlantic in the spring of 2013 to the Netherlands to become certified in European Culture and European Journalism. While there, she gained experience in traveling and reporting as an international journalist in countries like Germany and the Czech Republic.

Prior to joining WBTV, Maggie worked as a reporter for WMBB in Panama City, Florida. She has also interned with a wide variety of media organizations, WBIR, WATE and CNN in Atlanta.

Maggie is excited to call the Queen City home! It's her job to know about all the city has to offer, so you'll probably find her on the weekend exploring Charlotte's food scene. When she's not exploring the city, you may find her exploring hiking trails in North Carolina and cheering on her Tennessee Vols!
